Summer 2019 200-Hr Yoga Teacher Training
Led by Mod Plank and featuring teachers, scholars and experts
in Anatomy, Sanskrit, Yogic Philosophy, History, and Meditation.

The YogaBody 200-Hour Teacher Training Program is intended for aspiring yoga teachers and serious yoga students who want to deepen their practice. This training is recognized by the Yoga Alliance. Upon successful completion of all course requirements, trainees may register with Yoga Alliance at the RYT-200 level.

In this program, trainees will be given the tools necessary to teach yoga safely to others. Trainees will study asana (yoga poses), pranayama (breath work), meditation, practical applied anatomy, alignment & body mechanics, therapeutics, basic Sanskrit, ethics & boundaries, yoga history & philosophy, and an intro to Ayurveda. Our program is ever- evolving and ever-improving, and it is customized to the unique goals and needs of each individual training group of students.

  • How to systematically teach a yoga pose

  • Purpose and use of props

  • The art of teaching

  • The art of assisting and giving adjustments

  • Effective class sequencing

  • History of yoga

  • The Yoga Sutras of Patanjali

  • Principles of Alignment

  • Intro to meditation

  • Observing and understanding bodies

  • How to improve your own practice

  • Finding your voice as an instructor

  • The business of yoga

  • Chakras and the subtle body

Suggested Experience:

  • 6 months to 1 year of yoga practice recommended

  • No prior yoga teaching experience required

  • Willingness to learn and assimilate new information in a collaborative environment

  • Ability to give and receive feedback skillfully

  • Motivation and dedication to be a student

  • Capacity to practice self-direction

  • Standard tuition if paid in full by May 16th, 2019: $3,333

    • Tuition increases on May 17th, 2019: $3,555

  • Payment Plan Program: $3,555*

    • A down payment of $711 is to be made by May 17th, 2019 in order to reserve your space in the program.

    • Four additional bi-weekly (every two weeks) payments of $711 are to be made beginning May 31st, 2019, for a total tuition of $3,555.

    • Scheduled payments are authorized to be automatically charged to the credit card on file.
